Animal rights poster threat to Labour
Animal welfare campaigners, the International Fund for Animal Welfare, will shelve plans for a hard-hitting poster campaign against the government if given reassurances that hunting is to be outlawed in the next parliament.
IFAW had commissioned a six-figure billboard campaign targeting the seats of pro-hunting Labour MPs. One of the planned designs featured Tony Blair as a James-Bond-style villain over the slogan "A licence to kill".
