Labour's school for talent
The Times reveals that Labour is planning to use the Whips' Office as a training ground for promising MPs in the government's expected second term.
The move will follow internal criticism that Tony Blair has been ignoring his back-bench talent. On the newspaper's "most wasted list" are Harriet Harman, Stephen Twigg, Lorna Fitzsimons, David Lammy, Ben Bradshaw and Ruth Kelly.
