Kennedy calls for tax hike
Charles Kennedy yesterday called for taxes to be raised by £8 billion and promised that free care for the elderly would be at the heart of the Lib Dems' election manifesto. He also warned that co-operation with Labour would end unless there was a firm commitment to electoral reform in the government's manifesto.
