Several leading political figures were among the 379 people arrested at the Faslane submarine base in Scotland yesterday. Labour MP George Galloway, Scottish Socialist MSP Tommy Sheridan and Green MEP Caroline Lucas were arrested by police outside the base which houses Britain's Trident nuclear submarines.
