Signs point to May 3 election
The Times reports that Tony Blair has three weeks to rule out a May 3 election before being faced with a £2.7 million bill for poster sites.
Labour has arranged a £3 million poster advertising campaign which will begin at the end of March and run until the first weekend of May.
The contracts, exchanged in December, include penalty clauses that will leave Labour with a hefty bill if it pulls out one month before the first advertisement appears.
