A fresh row over Peter Mandelson broke out yesterday with Labour MPs arguing over whether he should be re-admitted to the government. Two ministerial aides said he should be allowed to return to the government if the Hammond inquiry clears him of wrong-doing in the Hinduja passport affair. Mandelson will give evidence to the inquiry this week.
