Peers ask Queen to block Nice Treaty
A group of 65 eurosceptic peers is to use rights granted by the Magna Carta to urge the Queen to block the EU's Nice Treaty. Clause 61 of the Magna Carta grants a quorum of 25 barons the right to present a petition to the monarch "who is obliged to accept it".
