The National Audit Office has launched an urgent investigation into the £125 million sale of the Millennium Dome. The Times reports how Sir John Bourn, the Comptroller and Auditor General, ordered an early inquiry after private misgivings about the conduct of the £125 million deal. By tradition the NAO acts after a government deal has been concluded.

A report in the Mail suggests the site of the dome may be worth £600 million, rather than the £125 million to be paid by the Legacy group.
