Cloning vote row
The government is set to call a "snap" vote in parliament on the relaxation of the use of human embryos for scientific research, but supporters of the measure, who say it is essential for research into degenerative diseases, fear that it could be defeated because of a lack of time to prepare. MPs will not be given the chance to vote on cloning of human embryos at the same time.
