As the government awaits this week's potentially damaging NAO report into the millennium dome it has emerged that the government is to delay a vote to give the dome a further £179 million to December. The report, which is expected to be scathing about the management of the project, is expected to see dome minister Lord Falconer offering his resignation.

The main bidder for the dome has threatened to pull out unless government ministers sign the deal within days. Legacy say it will dump plans to turn the site into a business park unless a deal is signed by November 14. The building has been turned down for listed status which keeps the option of demolition open for the government. The Express claims that ministers have already decided that the dome should be demolished.
