Lord Falconer, the embattled dome minister, was defended by the government following renewed calls for his resignation. Culture minister Janet Anderson insisted the peer was "doing an extremely good job" as Tory MPs renewed their attacks ahead of the report by the National Audit Office into the Greenwich attraction which is published on Thursday. Some suggest Falconer will fall on his sword when the report is made public.
