Weapon decommisioning hope to defuse tensions
Both the British and Irish governments are hoping the IRA decommissioning of weapons within the next month will defuse the renewed political tensions in Northern Ireland. Plans for visits by international inspectors, to both North and South of the border, are thought to be in advanced stages to verify no arms have been moved from weapons dumps.
