Prime minister, beekeeper and tennis pro

Downing Street has published the list of ministers’ interests, which shows the prime minister is president of the Oxfordshire Beekeeping Association
David Cameron is also the president of the Lords and Commons Tennis Club and the Ellesborough Golf Club.
Under the Ministerial Code members of the government must ensure there is no conflict of interest between their ministerial role and their private activities, financial or otherwise.
For example defence secretary Liam Fox is noted to have several defence industry employers in his constituency.
While Nick Clegg's entry shows he has a MEP's pension and is an ex officio Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery - presumably he has already reserved his place on a wall.
The list also details the relevant activities of ministers family members which might reasonably be seen directly relevant to a minister’s departmental responsibilities.
Today's list reminds us that Foreign Office minister Lord Howell of Guildford's son-in-law is George Osborne, the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
There is also another keen cabinet beekeeper in business secretary Vince Cable, who is patron of the Twickenham and Thames Valley Beekeepers’ Association.
