    Get ready for the dash

    By Tony Grew
    - 6th October 2010

Conservative party conference virgins, brace yourself for one of nature's most awe-inspiring sights - the great Tory migration.

For there is nothing quite like the mad dash to the train station that occurs immediately after the leader's speech at the Tory conference.

This speech is the highlight of the week, the reason many of the party faithful have turned up, and the second David Cameron sits down a few hours from now around 10,000 people will turn on their heels and dash to New Street station.

If you do not have a reserved seat, you will need a pair of those sharp elbows that Cameron has said are a feature of the middle classes.

Though I doubt the PM, Mrs C and baby Florence will have any trouble getting back to Downing St.
