Gaming stand scores hit with MPs

    By Tony Grew
    - 30th September 2010

One of the star stands at the conferences this year is an innovative crowd-pleaser from UKIE, the trade body for the interactive entertainment industry.

Their archery game has proved to be a hit with MPs and delegates alike.

At the Labour party conference, Rob Flello MP, who is a shadow cabinet candidate, tops the Parliamentary scoreboard with 30 - followed closely by Valerie Vaz, Iain Wright and Shaun Woodward on 27.

Also near the top are Lord Prescott, Bob Ainsworth, Angela Eagle and Stephen Timms.

Valerie's brother Keith has a less impressive aim, with a poor 11, and another shadow cabinet hopeful, Emily Thornberry, languishes near the bottom with 14.

UKIE's stall has packed them in at the Lib Dems too, giving them a chance to bang the drum for an industry that adds tens of billions of pounds to the UK economy and employs tens of thousands of skilled developers and creatives.

Nick Clegg scored 24 last week - we will have to wait until Birmingham to find out if David Cameron can beat that.
