Cooper will face May on Monday
By Tony Grew - 21st January 2011

The new shadow home secretary will be thrown in at the deep end on Monday.
Yvette Cooper will have the weekend to prepare for Home Office questions, with Labour leading the charge against the government's decision to scrap 28 days pre-charge detention.
Not to mention the coalition's plans for reform of the police.
Of course, Cooper is married to Ed Balls, who was in the shadow home job until yesterday, so no doubt he will be able to give her any help she may require.
As one of the most competent members of the shadow cabinet, she is expected to master her new brief with ease.
One interesting aspect of Monday's oral questions is that we will see two women face off across the dispatch box, one holding and the other shadowing one of the great offices of state.
We think this is the first time this has happened, but we stand ready to be corrected.
